Role on Project

As part of a small development team, my primary role on GenCon.com has been as a front-end developer, managing end-user experience, creating, improving view files (HTML, HAML) and managing the overall styling. The CSS for this site utilizes the Sass library and sophisticated tree of Sass includes

I serve additional rolse as needed as Project Manager and UX / UI desiger for various features and for overall site layout and design.

GenCon.com is a robust website and web application supporting Gen Con, the premier convention for board games, RPGs, trading card games and table-top games of all kinds.

This site is built on the Ruby on Rails platform, but also consists of various features built in ReactJS and other JavaScript applications.

This site serves to not only market and support the convention, but run the show as well. Various features manage exhibitors, badge and ticketed event system, convention management and onsite point of sales system.

For the end-user there are features to manage schedule, private and group chat, search for events, map search and community forums.
